Overview
Falkirk Distillery is a family-run distillery that began production in 2020, one of two new distilleries to bring whisky-making back to the Falkirk area (alongside the reborn Rosebank). It makes a Lowland single malt now maturing towards release.
The history
The distillery was a long-held dream of the Stewart family, taking many years to come to fruition before it finally began distilling in 2020. A shop and tasting area are open, with tours added from 2025.
The water & the land
Falkirk draws on an artesian spring/borehole beneath the distillery.
Falkirk has no clan link — it is a modern family venture in the historic canal-and-ironworks town of Falkirk, near the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel.
Visiting
Falkirk Distillery has a shop and tasting area, with tours running from 2025 — check the website. It pairs naturally with a visit to the reborn Rosebank nearby.
