Overview
Aberargie, a few miles south of Perth, is a farm distillery run by the Morrison family — the whisky dynasty formerly behind Morrison Bowmore. Sitting just south of the Highland Line, it is technically a Lowland distillery, making a grain-to-bottle single malt released from 2026.
The history
Aberargie filled its first cask in 2017 on the family’s 300-acre farm in Strathearn, with the Morrisons drawing on generations of whisky experience. Its first single malt was released in 2026 after a patient maturation.
The water & the land
Aberargie uses a private well/borehole on the farm and grows some of its own barley.
Aberargie has no clan link — it is a modern Morrison family farm venture in Strathearn, Perthshire, just south of the Highland Line near Abernethy.
